Lasting Impact of The Past

This docuseries covers the whole of human history in four episodes. The first episode covers early civilizations and their lasting impact. The full hole episode is interesting but at time marker18:04 and a few minutes before is where we see laws surrounding women.

History-Makers: Maimonides

This is another video by the same channel as before, but this one is more history-focused. It summarizes the life of Maimonides, however it does bring in a more Jewish perspective, so I’m not sure if it’s too far out of line for an Islamic-focused class.

Only Breath by Rumi

This is a famous poem I found by Rumi that I really felt the need to share. I think it is a beautiful demonstration of the attitude we should all carry throughout our lives; labels don’t define us and we are all human. At least that’s what I got from it. I’d love to hear any other thoughts/interpretations!
